U-BeWell® is a patient-controlled portable application for automated, secure access and download of web-based health summaries, including Blue Button® records. It is a USB-based application in an ATM card form factor. At any point of care, U-BeWell provides immediate, practical access and exchange of clinical summaries generated by one or several patient portals. There is no software to install. It operates upon the simple insertion of the password protected USB device. A scalable Mobile Health Information Exchange solution, U-BeWell helps deliver optimum care coordination.
U-BeWell includes an In Case of Emergency (ICE) record stored on the USB drive, which is directly accessible in an emergency without password entry. It can also include other documents such as an Advance Directives, or Discharge Instructions documents.
